We both loved the house and the garden. You could tell the owners really take care of the property. WOW, the whole experience was 10 stars. We hiked across the street along the Headlands and down to the beach. Just beautiful to be so close to the coast and such a nice house. Loved the kitchen, we love to cook so such a treat. Hot Tub also was clean and hot!!!

Drove up to Fort Bragg and picked up a whole Ling Cod and had fish for dinner every night. We just wished we could spend more time here in Mendocino. We had a wonderful vacation staying here at La Bella Vista. The views are beautiful from nearly every room, but especially the deck, kitchen, and the upstairs bedroom. The garden itself is lovely as well, and we really appreciated that this property was not only pet friendly, but also has a perimeter fence.

We made a point to spend time at the house eat and drink outside, read on the deck or by the windows, stargaze because it was so nice to be there.

We also were able to do some nice coastal hikes straight from the house. Going to the town of Mendocino, restaurants in Little River, and other activities were all a super short drive away.

Mendocino Preferred put in a lot of nice special touches, like a welcome drink, fresh flowers, and treats for our dog. It was cute and appreciated. Just two of us and our dog stayed here and we had plenty of space. I'd come back and stay with another two people, but think things may be a little less comfortable with six guests though still plenty of space only because it would be difficult to be quiet while others are sleeping. You can hear cars drive by, but there are white noise machines in each bedroom.

But over all, I would definitely come back and stay at this property, and would look into to staying at other Mendocino Preferred properties as well. We live in a lovely town in the Sierra Foothills. Our stay in Mendocino was a welcome change for us. These folks are very professional and helpful I'm saying this right up front because they literally have their procedures in place. We rented the La Bella Vista for 3 nights.

Perfect home in all regards! Huge beautiful kitchen with all the amenities seen and unseen. The unseen were found in drawers with labels as to what was inside.

I've never experienced this much organization and needed information in a VRBO property. The views of the ocean across from our rental house were unobstructed and spectacular The back garden area of this home was Alice in Wonderland amazing!

The hot tub was perfect for early evening soaking and watching the marine layer come in. The home was perfect for 4. We were in the master suite and the other couple in the downstairs bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. Two beautiful family room areas and the amazing kitchen gives everyone space. We will definitely come to this home again. The rental was wonderful, plenty of room, nicely appointed, with a beautiful garden area and view of the ocean.

My only quibble was the vehicle access from Hwy 1, not the best. This is one of the best places we have stayed!

Wonderful garden, comfy home, beautiful view, large and spacious kitchen, and a great view of the ocean from the master hedroom. Very clean and comfy. Would def. The pictures of La Bella Vista do not do it justice. This is one place that is better than the pictures. Its beautiful. Has everything you need to relax. La Bella Vista was so lovely!

The few negative reviews we read regarding it being right next to HWY 1 didn't hold true for us. Our entire stay was peaceful and energizing. The photos truly don't do the home justice. The general living space is huge, substantially more than enough for the 6 people it has listed as capacity. We used the exceptionally clean hot tub every night, and were fortunate to get several clear skies during our winter stay to stare up at the sky full of stars.

The proximity to everything is ideal for our annual stays in Mendocino county, especially if like us you don't want to be in the center of a town. Definitely take a couple hours to do the Spring Ranch Trail across the highway from the house. So many spectacular misty ocean views. Our only thing we feel like could improve the home are: Solid doors to both the bedrooms for privacy the upstairs bedroom has no door, and the downstairs which is right off the kitchen has a folding slatted closet door.

But it didn't hinder our enjoyment of the house that much. Thank you for a lovely stay! This historic home was cleaned spotlessly. Location is is a 5 min drive to Mendocino. Views are beautiful. Great morning walks to the beach and headlands. We had no issues with the noise from HWY1. Kitchen and dining room was huge. Loved the hardwood floors views, and hot tub. The home was well kept, clean and had a great view.

The kitchen had everything we needed. The house had both a living room and a family room and the kitchen was large. It was a good location for driving into town or to see some sites. Lots of board games too. It's off highway 1. It was winter, so we kept our windows closed, but if you're sensitive to noise, you may hear cars especially if it's summer and you have the windows open. The bedrooms don't have a lot of privacy.

Upstairs has no door and downstairs bedroom has a shutter door. It didn't really bother us since we were traveling with our children. No marks on the surface and beautiful colour. Very sturdy and heavy. Pickup at Carlingford before 19th of Jan Time to spruce up the salon or barber shop?
