Il2 1946 patch 4.11 m

I bought IL-2 from GoG a couple years ago, and patched it up to 4. I'm considering re-buying it on Steam to keep things simple but have some questions: 1 I see that Steam patches IL-2 to 4. Does that mean that Steam doesn't automatically update IL-2 to 4. Showing 1 - 9 of 9 comments. Or do they require a more modern card?
